The Purpose of VEFA Series Pickleball and Pick-Pong Organizations
Respect for the Past, Inspiration for the Future
The Vefa Series is not merely a sports organization or a tournament schedule. This project is a powerful social awareness movement that carries the stories of people who have dedicated their efforts, left their mark, and added value to society into the future.
In today’s rapidly changing world, where success is often measured solely by results, the Vefa Series reminds us that behind every success lies effort, sacrifice, a teacher, a coach, an instructor, a manager, an academic, a visionary, and a role model. Because the stars of the future grow by following the footprints of the past.
As the Turkey Pickleball, Dropick, and International Racket Sports Association, through our work across all 81 provinces of Turkey for years—in schools, universities, youth centers, earthquake zones, rural areas, and disadvantaged regions—we have demonstrated that sports are a powerful tool not only for physical development but also for social healing, social cohesion, and values education.
Particularly in our events held in earthquake-affected and disadvantaged regions, we have witnessed the power of sports to bring hope, solidarity, and the strength to rebuild. In our inclusive projects carried out with individuals with special needs in disadvantaged regions, we saw that sports are a common language for everyone. We watched thousands of children, youth, families, and educators break down prejudices as they gathered on the same court through Pick-Pong and Pickleball, rediscovering trust, respect, empathy, and the culture of fair play.
The Vefa Series is a natural continuation of this built-up experience.
This project aims to bring visibility to sports professionals, educational volunteers, teachers, coaches, academics, local heroes, and figures who have served our country in the past and contributed to our social values. Because a society’s future is built not just by writing new success stories, but by remembering the people who laid the foundations of those stories.
The core objective of the Vefa Series is to provide role models for younger generations, strengthen intergenerational bonds, keep social memory alive, and contribute to the widespread adoption of values education through sports.
We believe that:

Therefore, the Vefa Series is much more than matches played on courts; it is a national movement of values that honors the efforts of the past WHILE THEY ARE STILL ALIVE, brings the people of today together, and inspires the stars of tomorrow.
